A GEORGE I WALNUT BUREAU CABINET,
early 18th century,
the arched molded cornice with raised central section above a pair of doors inset with later mirrors enclosing three adjustable shelves above two candleslides, the slant front enclosing a burr yew interior fitted with six drawers flanking four pigeonholes over a further long drawer and inset writing surface, above two short and two long drawers raised on later bracket feet, with overall featherbanding, bearing a red painted inventory number 14048, brasses replaced, restoration and patches to veneer and molding
