A RARE REVIVALIST GOLD CHATELAINE, BY EUGENE FONTENAY
The bloomed gold chatelaine entirely decorated with filigree and beadwork, the top enhanced by a chased gold serpent motif, suspending two gold ropework chains, terminating in a fob seal and propelling pencil, and a pocket watch, of gilt-finished jeweled lever movement, the black and red dial with fancy hands and Roman numerals, the bloomed case with filigree detail, mounted in 18k gold, circa 1874, with French assay mark and maker's mark, in a D.L.
