Late 19th Century, the mounts hallmarked for George Fox, London, 1881, the glass probably Bohemian
The oviform glass body engraved with a central band of grotesque masks within cartouches linked by strapwork ornamented with woodland animals including deer, a swan, a partridge and goats, the upper part with a band of grotesque masks within cartouches and the lower with a band of herms, the metal spout chased with a female mask within elaborate scroll and foliage decoration, the high raised metal handle with a caryatid and the domed metal foot with masks among strapwork and foliage
