Shaped as a sarcophagus, on four steel feet, cut-steel lockplate with beaded band, matching key, the cover with cut-steel hinged handle, the brass hinged cover inside set with a mirror within stylised scarlet silk embroidered flower and foliate band, containing a rectangular detachable white velvet tray with scarlet silk rims fitted with a steel and gold pair of scissors; a cut-glass and gold perfume bottle; a gold thimble; a gold and steel knife; a gold and steel bodkin; a gold ribbon threader; a needle case; a gold pencil-holder and four gold spools, the case further fitted with a musical box, and a compartment with cut-glass scent-bottle, a metal winding key and a a pair of gold knitting needle holders with red silk and gold link, detachable watered silk cushion liner
