A pair of large English silver candlesticks with later four-light tops
Mark of John Winter & Co, Sheffield, 1780; upper part apparently unmarked
Each on square raised foot decorated with garlands alternated with rams heads in between rosettes, the column stem with swirling garland swags, corynthian capital, detachable shaped square nozzles, beaded rims; the later non matching upper parts with three arms and a central light on vase-shaped stem, the capitals decorated with garlands, candlesticks adapted for electricity, marked on base candlesticks
