TWO IZNIK POTTERY TILE SPANDRELS
Ottoman Turkey, late 16th century
Each of cusped form, the white ground painted with a flowering prunus blossom tree overlaid at the base with a tulip and carnation spray, a red band around the edge, the inner sides with a band of blue cusped motifs, repaired breaks, lower part of left hand spandrel restored, small other touches of restoration
