The rust-red field with a central vase issuing bold angular arabesques containing scattered animals such as crabs, goats and fish below the ivory mihrab arch containing further animals and warrior figures to each corner, in a shaded indigo border of palmettes, elephant heads, fish and other extraordinary animals between double ivory floral meander minor stripes, minor wear in central field, selvages frayed, replaced braided kilim strips at each end
