A costume design for "The Spectators" in Stravinsky's Petrouchka, choreography by Michel Fokine, first performed by the Ballets Russes at the Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris 1911, with Nijinsky and Karasavina. The artist designed numerous revivals; this design, dated 1948, is probably for the 1949 production at the Paris Opera.
