Rectangular, on four mask feet, the silver-gilt frame inlaid with grey and white enamel strapwork, the sides formed as four rock crystal panels carved with foliate scrollwork, birds and masks, with enamel and spiralling rock crystal columns, applied with silver ropework, the hinged cover with conforming rock crystal panel and applied grotesque masks, marked on cover, cover bezel, body, and under base, with a fitted leather case
