Lot Essay

Muir-Hill Dumper: Don Rix was a Lesney toolmaker who left in 1949 to start his own business - Condon Products - with Frank Constable. The company was shortlived and Lesney bought back the tooling; although never used, it was the inspiration for Matchbox 2a.
