No. 20296, playing twelve Chinese airs accompanied by optional drum, six bells (three with polychrome lacquered butterfly strikers and flower finials) and castanet, the nickel-plated movement with central fifteen-key organ section with pierced ebonised grille and lyre-form tune indicator, in rosewood veneered case with carrying handles, front and lid with floral-etched mirror glass panels bordered by ripple-and-wave beading, tulipwood crossbanded interior lid with recessed birdseye maple panel and clear-glass viewing window, the front with three bisque-headed dancing dolls in original costumes flanked by classical female gilt-metal profiles on silvered metal backplate -- 30½in. (77.5cm.) wide, the cylinder 13in. (33cm.), (extreme bass drum tip repaired, organ silent), for the Chinese market.
