FIRST EDITION of the enlarged version of the Istoria Botanica, much augumented by use of a manuscript on the plants of the Middle East by Pietro Foglia (name in religion Mattaeus a S. Joseph) and enlarged with 105 new plates. The work was translated into Latin by Gaetano Monti, Zanoni's successor as director of the Bologna Botanical Garden.
