This lot, presumably a print from a contemporary R.I.S.D. portfolio, is accompanied by a letter from the present owner which explains the circumstances of the print remaining unsigned:
This photo from Harry Callahan was purchased in the Fall of 1964 when visiting him at his home on Benefit St., Providence, R.I.
My room mate...was one of his favorite students and we were invited for tea in his home with his wife...
He told me it was shot in 1952. He said he would sign it for $25.00 but I did not have it - Poor art students.
