A DERBY SALMON-GROUND PART SERVICE
Circa 1795, puce crown, crossed batons and D mark, pattern no. 65, gilder's no. 2, most pieces painted by William Billingsley
From the service made for the Prince Regent, the center finely painted with a branch of rose within a gilt beaded oval, the rim gilt with half-flowerheads and tassels beneath a pink band, comprising:
A pair of cylindrical ice-pails, covers and liners
A septafoil bowl
A lozenge-shaped dish
A circular scalloped dish
An oval platter
Nine plates, in two sizes (16)
