A PAIR OF CHAMBERLAIN'S WORCESTER IRON-RED GROUND CRESTED OVAL VEGETABLE DISHES AND COVERS
Circa 1805
Each basin and cover painted with the crest of Blermerhassett of Tralee, Ireland (an iron-red griffin seated on a grey and iron-red striped baton), the border with a wide iron-red band reserved with yellow lozenges gilt with a rosette and edged with gilt-edged black semi-circles, the basin gilt with scallops and pendant arrowheads, the rim in panels with stylized half-flower-heads (2)

According to the invoices retained in the Worcester Museum, the service of which the present two dishes are a part was ordered 15 October 1803 and delivered 15 September 1805.
