A MEISSEN AUGSBURG-DECORATED GOLDCHINESEN TEABOWL, TWO-HANDLED BEAKER AND TWO SAUCERS
Circa 1720, gilt slightly later in the workshop of Abraham Seuter
The beaker and both saucers gilt and chased with Chinoiserie vignettes supported on strapwork brackets, the teabowl with three small vignettes, the interior with a bird on a branch, the rim of the teabowl and the smaller saucer with a gilt scalloped band edged with C-scrolls, the interior of the beaker and upper portion of the handles gilt, the larger saucer reserved within a scalloped cartouche on the burnished gold ground with the vignette
