A MEISSEN HOT-MILK JUG
Circa 1735, blue crossed swords mark, impressed Dreher's * for Bergmann and 1, the footrim with traces of a gilder's number
Of baluster form, the wishbone handle with gilt shell thumbrest and gilt-enriched beak spout, painted with an equestrian traveller in a landscape and with merchants with a loaded skiff, each reserved within a quetrefoil cartouche enriched with Gittelwerk and with iron-red and purple foliate scrolls
