A MEISSEN TEAPOT AND A BÖTTGER PORCELAIN COVER
Circa 1730, blue crossed swords mark, gilder's 11. and Dreher's x to the pot, the cover inscribed in luster 74 and in iron-red with collector's number 101.
The pot of teardrop form with everted mouth and loop handle, the curved spout issuing from a grinning mask terminal enriched in gilt, painted front and back with merchants in conversation on a quay reserved within gilt and Böttger lustre cartouches enriched with iron-red and purple scrolls, the shoulder with Laub-und-Bandelwerk; the domed cover with a similar continuous quayside scene
