Circa 1750, blue crossed swords mark to each
The chamberstick as a pug standing before a flowering bocage, the upper-most branch applied with a candle nozzle modelled as a flower, a branch at the back extending into a ring handle, on a cartouche-shaped rocaille-moulded base enriched in gilt, 5 5/8in. (14.3cm.) high; the miniature model of a snarling pug wearing a pink collar and supported under its belly with a tree stump, 2 1/8in. (5.4cm.) long (2)
