A FRENCH ORMOLU-MOUNTED AND INLAID EBONY AND TORTOISESHELL BOULLE MARQUETRY BUREAU PLAT**
Second half 19th Century
Inlaid overall with foliate scrolls, the rectangular top with lappeted rim and cut-cornered inset red leather writing-surface, above the frieze with lambrequin with interlaced 'L's to the long sides and satyr's masks to the short, one long side with sprung long drawer, the cabriole legs headed by a bearded mask and terminating in foliate paw feet, inscribed in pencil to underside 'Penot Clichy'
