A CHINESE EXPORT 'DOUBLE PEACOCK' PART DINNER SERVICE

In the classic pattern showing a peacock and peahen perched on rockwork in a garden growing with large, lush peony blooms alongside smaller flowers, the scalloped or octagonal rims enamelled with floral sprays and edged in a narrow iron-red border, comprising:
Eight dinner plates, 9 in. (23 cm.) diam.
Five soup plates, 8¾ in. (22.3 cm.) diam.
A pair of shallow bowls, 10 in. (25.5 cm.) diam.
A pair of platters, 13½ in. (34.3 cm.) long
A large platter, 20½ in. (52 cm.) long (18)

Lot Essay
