A GROUP OF FOUR CHINESE HONGMU AND HUAMU SOUTHERN OFFICIAL'S HAT ARM CHAIRS, NANGUANMAOYI

The two armchairs each with a humpbacked toprail supported on slightly bent cornerposts extending to the back legs, above a rectangular frame with soft cane seat, the S-curved backsplat divided into three panels with nanmu burl inset panels, the armrests humped and scrolling, the round-section legs joined by continuous beaded aprons and stepped stretchers, the two side chairs of similar form but with double-humped toprail and scrolling, openwork aprons; together with a square table on folding X-shaped stretchers
