LATE HELLADIC III A-B, CIRCA 1400-1200 B.C.
A chariot scene bowl fragment, with the forepart of a pair of horses, the reins pulled back from the rear, in front a stylized figure, walking with arms outstretched, between them a vertical line of circle motifs, three broad bands below and another beneath the rim; and a neck krater fragment showing the forepart of a moufflon with long curved horns and beard, traces of further animals in front, decorative motifs in the field, blocks of vertical strokes on the everted rim, both with details in orange-brown, repaired
4 5/8 in. (11.7 cm.) and 5 7/8 in. (14.9 cm.) high respectively (2)

Acquired by the previous owner in the 1970s from a private English deceased estate.
