A DAUNIAN POTTERY JAR
CIRCA LATE 6TH/EARLY 5TH CENTURY B.C.
The squat body with horizontal rim, the high strap handle with stripes at the back, triangular at the front and decorated with a stylized face with painted headdress and facial details and eyes, the pupils pierced, the jar boldly painted in orange and dark brown with arcs around the rim and broad stripes encircling the body
