AN EGYPTIAN FRIT DOUBLE PLUME AMULET
LATE PERIOD, CIRCA 7TH-4TH CENTURY B.C.
With red glass sun disk; a frit Shen (eternity) sign with three hieroglyphs; a turquoise glazed composition disk pendant, the obverse with winged snake protecting a languid Harpocrates(?), Isis walking away to right, the reverse with skn-nfr-s, Neo-Memphite; a dark green glazed composition feathered column surmounted by falcon-headed god wearing moon disk; a yellow glazed composition openwork square plaque, Harpocrates and neter (divinity) sign; a green glazed composition double cylindrical amulet, one with brown glazed flecked detail, all Third Intermediate-Late Period, circa 900-600 B.C.; a turquoise glazed composition plaque, frontal Bes; another similar, with profile lion-headed figure making offering, both circa 600-300 B.C.; a red glazed composition trussed bull, New Kingdom (1550-1070 B.C.); and another, similar in red glass, Late Period (664-332 B.C.)
