DYNASTY XVIII, CIRCA 1450 B.C.
Rev. falcon-headed lion, in bronze ring setting; another, bronze scarab swivel ring, rev. Ptah, Lord of Truth, New Kingdom, circa 1300-1000 B.C.; a steatite scarab, rev. "Unification of the Two Lands", two wedjat-eyes and two red crowns, Second Intermediate Period (1786-1590 B.C.), 7/8 in. (2.4 cm.) long; another, steatite, cross-hatching on back, reverse with falcon on crocodile, flanked by two snakes, Second Intermediate Period, 15/16 in. (2.5 cm.) long max.; a steatite scarab, rev. interlocking lotus flowers; another, steatite, rev. lion with reed or feather above, beaded surround, 7/8 in. (2 cm.) long; and sixteen steatite scarabs, including rev. man holding up his left hand in prayer, with hieroglyphs nb sw below, rope pattern surround, Second Intermediate Period; rev. unification sign with two wedjat-eyes above; rev. cruciform and interlocking lotus design; another with cross-hatching on back, rev. spiral waves; rev. standing men with crocodile; rev. falcon-headed god with cobra on either side; another similar; a frit scarab; a wooden scarab, rev. column of hieroglyphs, all Middle Kingdom-New Kingdom (2133-1070 B.C.); and a wooden stamp seal, animal within a temple sign, Second Intermediate Period, 1 in.
