LATE 1ST CENTURY B.C./EARLY 1ST CENTURY A.D.
Carved in high relief with a female head, wearing a diadem in her wavy hair, eyes with articulated pupils, small chip to her lower left cheek, 1.7 x 1.3 cm., 2 cm. across inner hoop; and an amber bust of a maenad, the smiling youthful face with wavy hair swept back and wearing an ivy or grape leaf wreath, eyes with articulated pupils, 2nd-3rd Century A.D., 2.8 x 2.1 cm., 2 cm. across inner hoop, both in later ring settings (2)
