A LARGE HARDSTONE SCARAB WITH HARPOCRATES

The scarab naturalistically carved, the flat underside engraved with the youthful boy Harpocrates seated on a lotus flower, his right hand held to his mouth, his left holding a lotus stalk, mounted in modern gold linked bracelet setting, scarab 1 3/8 in. (3.5 cm.) long; another green stone scarab the reverse with IAW inscription, in modern setting; a green hardstone scarab; an agate scarab; a cornelian scrab, both in later ring settings; two scarab rings; a steatite cowroid ring, the reverse with Master of the Snakes; another scarab ring, the reverse with confronting figures with snake between them; a steatite plaque, the obverse with royal cartouches, the reverse with three figures and snakes behind, in modern setting, all of various periods, 1 5/8 in. (4.2 cm.) high max.; and a steatite scaraboid, the reverse with Master of the Two Crocodiles, in later ring setting, probably late 2nd millennium B.C., 1 3/8 in. (3.4 cm.) high (11)
