CIRCA 4TH CENTURY B.C.
In the form of a quail chick (the hieroglyph 'w'), with finely detailed bluish-grey glazed legs, feather and wing details, light green glazed beak, tip of beak and legs missing; and an Egyptian pale greenish-white faience lion's head appliqué with facial detail in yellow glaze, concave at the back, Graeco-Roman period, circa 1st Century B.C./A.D.
