A PAIR OF ROMAN GOLD AND CORNELIAN EARRINGS
2ND-3RD CENTURY A.D.
Each hoop mounted with a 'crown of Isis' composed of a central tear-drop shaped cornelian inlay surrounded by beaded wire, hung with a rigid cylindrical pendant terminating in a large sphere with granulated pyramid below; and a pair of Roman gold, garnet and glass earrings, each with tapering hoop mounted with a tear-drop box setting surrounded by spheres and with glass inlay, a triple collared pendant below with central garnet inlay surrounded by a pyramid of gold sphere and granule clusters, some damage, 3rd Century A.D.
