Of flat elongated form, standing, wrapped tightly in an himation with diagonal fold across the chest; and an Etruscan bronze male figure, nude, standing with legs together, right arm outstretched with fist pierced for attachment of javelin or staff, left hand on hip, worn surface, late 6th-early 5th Century B.C., both mounted

Item one: sold Münzen und Medaillen, Basel, Auktion 70, 14 November 1986, no. 168; and item two acquired in 1966 from Robert Purrmann, Munich, who had inherited it from his father, the painter Hans Purrmann.
