AN ATTIC GEOMETRIC POTTERY KYLIX
LATE 9TH/EARLY 8TH CENTURY B.C.
The hemispherical bowl with gently fluted sides, stepped shoulder and two handles, black glazed interior with four lines on the reserved vertical rim, bands and dots around the exterior rim, the body decorated with vertical tongue-shaped leaves radiating from a broad black band around the base, dotted rosettes between the leaves, the handles with rays between two outlining lines
