Château Latour--Vintage 1970
Pauillac, 1er cru classé
Levels: eight bottom neck and four very top shoulder; two labels missing
Ruby red colour, orange hints on the rim; clean and pure. Intense aromas of brambles, dark berries and prune; opens out wonderfully with time. Very slightly dry, abundant tannins yield superbly to the lush layers of fruit; packed with earthy, yet ripe currants. Great structure and fine balance, a wine that has it all. A knockout Latour. Wow! March 2002 DW
1 dozen bottles per lot
