A 19th-Century boxwood liquid measure,
by L. LUMLEY & CO. LTD. MAKERS 1 AMERICA SQUARE LONDON, in a leather roll -- 29.2cm. (11½in.) long

The measure consists of a four-section folding rule with scales for gallons in cylinder and bouge bottles. Also in the leather roll are six thin boxwood cylinder rules, each with a brass ferrule at either end, arranged to be screwed together and marked for barrels, hogsheads, firkins and so on. One is signed BUSS MAKER 48 HATTON GARDEN LONDON.
