A stand for an 18in. diameter globe, with mahogany horizon (no paper) on three fluted legs united by turned cross-stetchers -- 40.6cm. (16in.) high; a stand for a 12in. diameter globe with a stamped brass meridian half-circle and steel axis, raised on a cast-iron tripod base with foliate decoration, terminating in three bird's feet -- 52.6cm. (20¾in.) high; another stand for a 12in. diameter globe with a stamped brass meridian half-circle raised on a baluster turned mahogany column and concave triform base, on three bun feet -- 48cm. (18 7/8in.) high; a stand for a 10in. diameter globe, with a stamped brass meridian half-circle, steel axis with turning handle at the South Pole, raised on a baluster turned and ebonised wooden column and circular plinth base (traces of worming; threaded recess in base chipped) -- 50.1cm. (19¾in.) high; a stand for a 9in. diameter globe with a plain brass meridian half-circle raised on a short baluster turned mahogany column and wide circular base -- 33cm.
