The chapter ring is graduated on one side in hours I-XII (x2), labelled every hour and with 7½-minute subdivisions. These are repeated but unlabelled on the inside edge. The other side has a declination scale 0-90°. This corresponds directly to a scale on the meridian ring. The other side of the meridian is graduated in two quadrants of 1-90°, with 1° subdivisions. The throne and suspension loop are lacking. The bridge has a sliding pin-hole sight. On both sides it is labelled N and S at either end and has a calendar scale with initials for the months on one side, and a Zodiac scale on the other, with a corresponding scale 20-0-20 initialled Æ.
