A late 18th-Century lacquered-brass and ivory flea microscope,
unsigned, in a card case -- 7.6cm. (3in.) wide

The ivory handle and lens mount are arranged to fold flat with the horizontal limb. The specimen mount slides along the limb with two sprung friction arms, and houses a pair of forceps. The case is covered in red paper.
