A 19th-Century lacquered-brass drum microscope,
unsigned, in a fitted mahogany case -- 20.7cm. (8 1/8in.) wide

The barrel has a sliding eyepiece dust-cover and moves vertically within the main sleeve for focusing over the integrated stage. The stage incorporates two blued-iron slider clips and a slot for an accessory. The base of the main sleeve is threaded to unscrew. Accessories include: three numbered objectives; stage forceps; tweezers; and two ivory sliders. The case has green felt in the lid and two brass hooks and eyes.
