A Louis XVI style ormolu-mounted mahogany and parquetry commode a vantaux
Attributed to François Linke, Paris, Circa 1910
The rectangular brèche violette marble top with eared forecorners, above a conforming case fitted with twin frieze drawers applied with interlaced garlands, over two cupboard doors decorated with a demi-lune trellis panel applied with a ribbon-hung garland above a central circular reserve with torch and coruncopiae, opening to two adjustable shelves, the sides with similar rectangular trellis panels, on toupie feet, the top spuriously stamped SORMANI, the locks each engraved with CT LINKE/SERRURERIE/PARIS/1097
