A Louis XVI style ormolu and cut glass centrepiece

Uniform, with a gadrooned exterior, a ram's mask at each end suspending berried swags, one side with a crowned coat-of-arms depicting a star and crescent moon, the opposite coat-of-arms with St. George slaying the dragon, supported on a spreading socle with berried laurel foot, above a square base, stamped BP. LOPIENSCY/WARSZAWA

Lot Essay
The Lopienski firm was founded in Warsaw in 1862 by brother Jan Lopiensky. They exhibited at various 19th century exhibitions and are still in business today.
