A Louis XVI style ormolu-mounted white marble three-piece garniture
Circa 1880
Comprising a lyre form clock and a pair of figural four-light candelabra, the garland-hung clock surmounted by an Apollo mask and a pair of Phoenix heads, the circular enamelled dial with Arabic chapters and twin-train movement, with bowed glazed bezel cover and 'jewelled' surround, inscribed Le Faucheur/Herdu Roi/Paris, flanked on each side by a putto, on a moulded base with beaded edge, scrolling foliate frieze and turned feet, the candelabra en suite, with a putto supporting a leafy flowering branch of scrolling candlearms
The clock: 29 in. (73.8 cm.) high; 13¾ in. (35 cm.) wide; 5½ in. (14cm.) deep; The candelabra: 27½ in. (69.8 cm.) high (3)
