Cheval percheron (Percheron horse)

Although a late work, probably dating from around 1870, Cheval percheron recalls the romantic spirit of Barye's celebrated Cheval turc of the 1840s. After 1876, the model was edited by Thiébaut Frères, both in its original size and in a version double the size.
