A pearlware Staffordshire Toby jug and an earthenware mug
The first Circa 1800, the tankard early 19th century
The Toby typically modelled seated, wearing a tricorn hat, long brown jacket, yellow breeches, holding a foaming jug of ale, on a green shaped rectangular plinth, the mug with a loop handle, and dark brown glaze, painted with ochre, yellow and green sprays of flowers below a border of geometric and palmette ornament (restoration to jug and cracking and repairs to mug)
