Further details
Beckmann's style was also influenced by the increasingly serious political problems in Europe, which ultimately became a much greater conflict. From 1912 onwards, with the emergence of drypoint etching as a favorite print technique, the artist's style develops becoming rougher and making greater use of contrast.
