A FINE CARVED DINGYAO HEXAFOIL DISH
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (960-1127)
The dish has angled sides rising from a broad base, supported on a short foot ring, the lobed mouth rim characteristically unglazed, skilfully incised and combed on the interior with a lotus flowing from long stems with curled leaves extending around the cavetto, covered in a warm ivory glaze with areas of pooling to the base
