QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The dish is potted with shallow rounded sides flaring to the everted mouth rims, the interior painted with an ascending five-clawed dragon in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl', amidst flames and ruyi clouds within a single border, the cavetto similarly painted with a pair of striding dragons, the details enamelled in yellow against a cobalt-blue ground, the exterior simiarly decorated with dragons above a band of lotus lappets encircling the foot ring
