Of compressed globular form, the censer is flanked by a pair of monster mask loop handles suspending loose rings and raised on three cabriole legs emerging from further monster masks, the cover surmounted with a ferocious Buddhist lion carved standing foursquare and grasping in its mouth a branch bearing large blossoms, all worked from semi-translucent stone of even milky-white tone
