The Purdey patent single-trigger with rolled-edge triggerguard, hold-open toplever, automatic beetle-backed safety, cocking-indicators, the lockplates engraved with scenes of pheasant, partridge, woodcock and grouse in flight, the game-scene vignettes surrounded by best foliate-scrollwork with virtually full hardening-colour, the makers signature gold inlaid on the lockplates and on the underside of the action body, the lockplates also signed A.L. Hunt, highly-figured stock with pistolgrip and pistolgrip cap, the barrels with matt solid
