Gilt and painted in colours in the manner of A.F. von Löwenfinck, the dark blue-ground rectangular body reserved with four quatrefoil cartouches depicting various mythical animals at various pursuits, one with a raven and a fox, perhaps inspired by the fables of de la Fontaine, the arched shoulders enhanced with insects and sprays of flowers, the later domed cover en suite with acorn finial
