Signed Mitsunao, Edo Period (First Half of the 18th Century)
Similar to the better-known female masks of Ko-omote and Magojiro but with a distinctive forelock falling over the forehead, modelled in carved wood with gesso and pigment, the reverse black lacquered and inscribed in gold lacquer Zekan and signed Mitsunao, with a kao, slight old damage and repairs
